what the !@#$ do i wear wednesdays: nye mix

Alright I’m not HUGE on NYE (I think is a BIT overrated and often can be a let down) but we do know I am HUGE on looking your best.

A lot of my lady friends have inquired with me on what to wear to ring in 2013. Considering they’re not 21 year olds going to an insane hotel party or riding in limos they wanted something a little more refined but still says “hey I’m here to party”.

Personally, I’m feeling a subtle sequin look this year.

So lucky for you party animals I took this theme and styled it based on multiple occasions.

For you ladies lucky enough to have yourself a good man gather some inspiration from these sexy yet date appropriate fits.

For all of you single ladies taking on the town AND the single men looking for that special NYE kiss try something fun with a style that your fellow lady friends will appreciate.

For those of you who think NYE is a little over hyped, and are doing something low key like a concert (me!) throw on something comfy with an edge and cozy up to a musician at midnight.

what up weekend

Well since the world is supposedly coming to an end this weekend according to the Mayans, we must make sure we enjoy all that Atlanta has to offer this weekend. So after braving Hartsfield-Jackson to pick up those distant relatives head into the city and cozy up with a drink and some tunes. Here’s whats on my radar for plans this weekend:

Futurebirds End of the World Party @ Terminal West

Join PBR and the boys of Futurebirds in celebrating the end of the world (twice) at Terminal West this weekend. Friday night the ‘Birds will be joined by Diarrhea Planet and New Madrid. Got other 12.21.12 plans? No worries the ‘Birds take the stage again the Saturday night with Natural Child and Turf War. The chill tunes of the Futurebirds, a PBR tallboy enjoyed at the cool venue of Terminal West isn’t a bad way for the world to end.

Winter Wonder Jam @ Atlantic Station

 

I am hoping you all have had the chance to check out at least one of the Jam concert sessions going on this month in Atlantic Station Central Park (if not shame on you!) Good news you have one last weekend to check out this awesome concert series presented by Atlantic Station and Bowe Inc. This Saturday MUTEMATH closes the series with guests Tesla Rossa, and the Features. I personally have been dying to catch a MUTEMATH show, and Tesla Rossa has been on my radar the past month. So bundle up, enjoy a holiday spirit, and come join me!

Wowser Boswer Christmas @ The Drunken Unicorn

Every year The Drunken Unicorn puts on a Christmas play. Word on the street is puts both Charles Dickens and Tyler Perry to shame. Besides Santa making an appearance with Christmas cocktails and snacks, metal band Wowser Bowser will take the stage with other acts Qurious and Perfect High Fives Every Time. So join this thrift store tacky Christmas sweater crowd and rock out til the world ends.
