food buzzin’

the needle has been severely lacking on the food happenings in the city. there is such an overwhelming amount of awesomeness when it comes to the food scene it’s hard to keep up! here is my attempt to tackle the craziness of the atl food scene buzz. this is what’s on my stomach’s radar this week.

theluminarywebkrog street market is slowly beginning to bustle with the opening of its first restuarant, Luminary last tuesday. this is chef Eli Kirchstein’s take on the French-American brasserie. having lived in Paris i am excited to have a spot with croque monsieur (their version of grilled cheese..but better!)

check out the menu & make yo reso’s here

Ladybird_BCit makes me so happy to see the beltline continue to grow! i can’t wait for Michael Lennox’s baby Lady Bird Mess Hall & Music Grove to open come the end of summer. the future hotspot named after first lady Lady Bird Johnson who enjoyed the outdoors, will boast 30-40 craft beers, wine & beer on tap, and a heavily crafted cocktail list to pair with it’s “modern campfire cuisine”. with a sick patio, games including shuffleboard & pingpong. lady bird has been heavily featured in the food blogosphere so surf around to take a peek inside. trust me i will let you know the minute this place opens!

stampits not secret Inman Park’s Parish is one of my favorite places in atlanta. the corner spot is getting a little make over as “The Basserie & Neighborhood Cafe” featuring a laid back taste to previous menu items, and my best kept secret the market downstairs is now the “Cafe” still featuring the same awesomeness. check it out you may find me in there blogging with my favorite iced chai tea!

(all of these musings inspired by CL’s omnivore blog)
